Digital Production Designer
Reports to: Creative Director
Role Purpose
The Digital Production Designer will collaborate closely with the Client Strategy and Service, Activation & Operations and cross-functional teams to develop compelling, brand-aligned digital designs across email, social media, website, and presentation deliverables.
This is a digital-first role. The Digital Production Designer implements creative standards and brand equity across patient activation, mission-driven philanthropy, and product experiences, with a particular focus on digital design.
Key Responsibilities
Design and Creative Production
- Create and produce digital graphics, including email templates, social media graphics, website assets, data visualization, presentations, and marketing materials that engage and inform target audiences.
- Produce and optimize digital assets for various user segments, ensuring a seamless and customized user experience across various platforms.
- Design and build polished, on-brand PowerPoint presentations and slide templates for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring brand and style guidelines are consistently applied.
- Serve as the team’s go-to resource for digital and presentation design; this role carries minimal to no print production responsibilities.
- Ensure that final assets adhere to best practices for file organization, naming conventions, and version control.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation, especially in the design and development workflow.
- Stay current on emerging design trends, digital marketing best practices, and new technologies that can elevate DHS’s offerings.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Creative and Client Strategy and Service teams to maintain brand consistency and ensure designs meet client and channel specifications.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Product, Client Strategy and Service, Activation & Operations and Technology) to translate marketing and fundraising objectives into compelling visual solutions.
About You
Required Skills and Experiences
- 3+ years’ experience in a digital design, production design, or graphic design role, ideally within an agency, marketing, or healthcare-adjacent environment.
- Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and advanced PowerPoint design skills.
- Experience and/or willingness to learn and adapt to generative AI tools like Claude, Gemini, or Adobe Firefly.
- A portfolio demonstrating relevant digital design work across email, social, web, and presentation formats is required to apply.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (alt text, color contrast, WCAG) and platform-specific specs across email, social, and web channels.
- Fluency with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience with project management software like Asana, Monday, or similar.
- Experience with Slack or other messaging platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in graphic design, visual communications, or a related field.
Preferred Skills and Experiences
- Experience building and maintaining design systems, templates, or brand style guides.
- Basic motion graphics or video editing experience for social content.
- Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or another regulated/compliance-driven industry.
- Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud) and an understanding of email-safe design constraints.
